Summer Chamber Music Experience at The Parkwood Music House
Piano - More Hands than Two! Mon. July 18 – Fri. July 22nd
String Chamber music Camp-Aug. 1 – Aug. 5
8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Students in grades 3 – 12 who play piano or orchestral string instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass), come to 5 days at The Parkwood Music House during the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for musical experiences and fun. Students will play in small instrumental groups, participate in music theory games, choose one other activity and observe and discuss performances. Each day will provide opportunities for creative exploration, laughter, developing friendships with other students in music and intensive study.
The staff will be professionals in their fields who are experienced working with students. Small ensemble sizes afford an intensive, playful, nurturing experience. A snack is provided. Bring a bag lunch and wear comfortable clothes.
Highlights of a day at The Parkwood Music House Chamber Music Camp will include:
Coaching in small groups
Discussion in groups
Music Theory games
Coached practice times
1 Activity choice period picked according to preferences on applications such as: Watercolors, Outdoor Games, Reading, Composition (with $10.00 download done before sessions onto personal laptops), Crocheting, etc. (Suggestions?)
Student will perform at the End-of-Summer Music Share/Ice Cream Social the evening of Aug. 5th
Yoga for musicians – Depending upon interest
Lunch & Snacks!
Child brings own lunch each day.
Parkwood House will provide wholesome snacks and water.
$300.00 a child plus a $30 supply fee (If needed for activity)
Financial Need can be requested through Director

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Full tuition must be paid before the first class meeting. Refunds are available only if the session is full or canceled (allow 30 days for refund). Tuition reserves your place in class. You must fill out a liability form on the first day.
Ensemble sizes will be from 2-4 players.
Piano Camp will run with a minimum of 2 students and a maximum of 4 students per session.
Chamber Music Weeks will run with a minimum of 2 students and a maximum of 10 students.
